Pamhagen, Burgenland, municipality in the district of Neusiedl am See, alt. 121 m, pop. 1,795, area 33.06 km2, summer tourist resort (59,963 overnight stays in 1992) in the Seewinkel area, situated between Lake Neusiedl and Waasen, near the Hungarian border. - Customs post and border station, zoo with animals native to the steppe, mineral water spring (supplies the whirlpool in a nearby resort), viniculture. - Documented mention in 1268. Parish church (1754, reconstruction in 1954/55); bell tower (1639); roadside crosses; houses with gable façades and decorated stucco.
