Norische AlpenNoric Alps, almost obsolete name of the southern part of the central east Alpine massif. They consist of the Gurktal Alps in Carinthia and Styria between the Rivers Mur/Mura and Drau/Drava and the Seetal Alps (Zirbitzkogel alt. 2,396 m), Saualpe mountain (alt. 2,079 m), Koralpe mountain (alt. 2,140 m), Poßruck (Kozjak) mountain and the Pohorje mountains in Slovenia.
