Neustadtler PlatteNeustadtler Platte, tableland in Lower Austria, forms part of the Bohemian Massif south of the Danube; from there wooded slopes drop steeply towards the Strudengau narrows: Hilly peneplain (alt. 420-550 m), Brandstetterkogel hill (alt. 569 m); market town Neustadtl an der Donau (alt. 509 m, pop. 2,239); ruins of Freyenstein Castle, granite quarries. Wörth island with Werfenstein Castle (nature preserve).
