Nagel, KarlNagel, Karl, b. Vienna, Dec. 4, 1922, d. Vienna, Aug. 23, 1993, composer and singer of wiener lieder (see: Wiener Lied), popular singer; great-grandson of Ignaz Nagel. Member of a musical family (his father was a counter-guitarist). Made important contributions to the revival of organ grinding. Gained international reputation after 1964, when he performed with T. Mally.
