© Copyright Karl Morré, photo around 1880 Morré, Karl, b. Klagenfurt (Carinthia), Nov. 8, 1832, d. Graz (Styria), Feb. 21, 1897, dramatist, popular writer, politician. Wrote singspiels, burlesques and farces in stylised dialect and created "Nullerl" (1885) a classic popular play which was staged several times. In his publications ("Die Arbeiterpartei und der Bauernstand", 1891) he defended the social concerns of the rural population.
