Montag, Louise eigentlich Aloisia Pintzker


Montag, Louise (real name Aloisia Pintzker), b. Vienna, April 13, 1849 Wien, d. Vienna, March 19, 1927, popular singer of folk lieder ( (see)Volkssänger). Began her career at the age of 17; at first appeared in the company headed by Antonie (see)Mansfeld, later maintained her own company, from 1883 appeared in duets with Edmund (see)Guschelbauer. Expert yodeller and highly popular singer of the popular songs of her time, renowned for her vocal quality ("Lark of Hernals").
