MinisterpräsidentMinister President ( Ministerpräsident; Prime Minister), title for the head of the Imperial Government, 1868-1918. This office existed from March 17, 1848 on, when the formation of a responsible council of ministers under the chairmanship of a Minister President was decreed. 1861-1868 the official title was "Chairman of the Council of Ministers". The Minister President´s office was located in the Office of the Council of Ministers. Literature: A.
