Millesi, HannoMillesi, Hanno, b. Villach, Carinthia, March 24, 1927, surgeon. Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Vienna from 1972 to 1995; since 1975 head of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Experimental Plastic Surgery in Vienna, medical director of the Wiener Privatklinik hospital; has published more than 150 papers on problems of plastic and reconstructive surgery. In 1999 received the Millennium Award of the International Society for Reconstructional Microsurgery for his pioneering work in the field of nerve transplantation.
