Mieminger Gebirge


Mieming Mountains, Tirol, high limestone mountains of the Northern Limestone Alps between the Upper Inn Valley in the south, Fern pass in the west, Gaistal valley in the North and Seefeld Saddle in the east. Hochplattig peak 2,768 m high. Other peaks (from east to west): Hohe Munde (2,662 m), Griesspitzen (2,747 m) and Wannig (2,493 m). Lakes: Seebensee (1,657 m) and Drachensee (1,874 m) with mountain refuges: Coburger Hütte (1,917 m); Breitenkopfhütte (2,017 m) and Alplhaus (1,504). Skiing resort in the area around the Marienbergjoch ridge (1,789 m).
