Buenos Aires (Argentina), Nov. 29, 1973, prehistorian. 1918-1945 professor at the University of Vienna, 1928/29 dean, 1935/36 rector, 1930-1933 also professor at the Egyptian University in Cairo, 1948 professor in Buenos Aires, from 1957 also at the La Plata University. Member of the Austrian and German Institute for Archaeology; March 11 to 13, 1938 member of the last Austrian federal government (Seyß-Inquart) before the "Anschluss".
