Marischka, ErnstMarischka, Ernst, b. Vienna, Jan. 2, 1893, d. Chur (Switzerland), May 12, 1963, author, film director; was introduced to the film business, together with his brother Hubert Marischka, by Count A. J. Kolowrat-Krakowsky. ("Der Millionenonkel", 1913); wrote numerous libretti and film scripts for silent and sound films. Worked as director in Austria and Germany. Founded the Erma Film Company and discovered amongst others Romy Schneider and J. Matz.
