MalefizordnungMalefizordnung (derived from Latin "malefactor"), name for the system of judicature implemented by Maximilian I for Tyrol in 1499. "Malefiz" is an old German legal term meaning bad deed or crime; the Malefizrecht pertained to the "hohe Recht" or Blutrecht (right to administer the death penalty) which in the Middle Age was a prerogative of the Regent.
