Traunkirchen (Upper Austria), July 12, 1872, narrative writer, dramatist, poet. His wife Sophie (née Kleyle, b. Vienna, Oct. 25, 1810, d. Vienna, May 9, 1889) wrote narratives and was admired by N. Lenau. Works: Skizzen aus dem Tagebuche einer Reise durch Frankreich, Großbritannien und Deutschland, 2 vols., 1825; Der Cid, 1831 (series of romantic novels). Gedichte, 1871. Literature: ÖBL.
