Lorm, Hieronymus eigentlich Heinrich LandesmannLorm, Hieronymus (real name: Heinrich Landesmann), b. Mikulov, Czech Republic (then Nikolsburg), Aug. 9, 1821, d. Brno, Czech Republic (then Brünn), Dec. 3, 1902, literature critic, narrative writer, dramatist, poet, essayist, journalist. By the age of 16 deaf and almost completely blind, developed the sign language named after him. 1850 to 1873 active in the editorial department of the newspaper "Wiener Zeitung"; important feuilleton writer.
