Salzburg, Dec. 15, 1653, Archbishop of Salzburg from 1619. In the 30 Years' War prevented his country from being invaded, had the fortress of Hohensalzburg and the border passes reinforced, incorporated Mirabell palace into the town, finished the Cathedral, built the Marianum and Rupertinum schools and had the Iglinger Moos and Schallmoos bog regions drained.
