Lischka, Vera, b. Linz (Upper Austria), May 1, 1977, swimmer. Winner of the 50-m breaststroke event at the 1996 European Short Course Championships in Rostock; holder of the Austrian records for 50-m and 100-m breaststroke; came fifth in the 100-m breaststroke event at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta (best placing of an Austrian female swimmer in the Olympic Games up to that time).
