Lipiner, Siegfried SalomoLipiner, Siegfried (Salomo), b. Jaroslaw, Poland (then Jaroslau), Oct. 24, 1856, d. Vienna, Dec. 30, 1911, narrative writer, dramatist, translator, journalist. From 1881 librarian of the Reichsrat, 1891 converted to Protestantism. Translated the Polish national epic, "Pan Tadeusz", into German.
