Lerchenfeld

Lerchenfeld, part of the 7^th and 8^th districts of Vienna; documented mention in 1295 (Lerochveldt); part of the area was acquired by the Court in 1337 as a hunting ground; settlement towards the end of the 17^th century. After 1700, town of Neulerchenfeld was founded (today in the 16^th district), since then Lerchenfeld has been called Altlerchenfeld (Altlerchenfeld Church).
