Has worked for the Austrian broadcasting corporation ORF since 1967; 1971-1973 deputy head of the politics and current affairs department and editor-in-chief of the series "Querschnitte", 1974-1998 intendant of the ORF Provincial Studio of Upper Austria. 1979 co-founded Ars Electronica; initiator of the Linz Klangwolke, the Prix Ars Electronica and the Ars Electronica Center. Since 1998 Information Director of ORF television. Works: Groteske Welt, 1973; Linzer Klangwolke, 1988; 20 Jahre Festival für Kunst, Technologie und Gesellschaft, 1999 (with C. Schöpf and G. Stocker).
