Leitner, LeoLeitner, Leo, b. Allhartsberg, Lower Austria, July 31, 1927, educator. Head of the Ministry of Education's department for general pedagogic matters and non-vocational schools (1970-92) and of the centre for experimental curricula and school development; played an eminent role in the reform of non-vocational schools under Minister F. Sinowatz and was instrumental in initiating curricular reforms, teacher training and further training, and experimental curricula. Works: Pädagogische Markierungen, 1987 (with F. Burgstaller).
