Langer-Kauba, Maria "Mizzi"Langer-Kauba, Maria ("Mizzi"), b. Vienna, Sept. 12, 1872, d. Vienna, Nov. 5, 1955, mountaineer and businesswoman. One of the first Austrian sportswomen to undertake numerous climbing tours. The Mizzi-Langer rock face in the Rodaun area of Vienna is named after her. Was the only woman who participated in the very first ski race (slalom) in Lilienfeld on March 19, 1905. Took over the oldest sport shop in Vienna (founded 1896).
