Kunwald, GottfriedKunwald, Gottfried, b. Baden (Lower Austria), Sept. 13, 1869, d. Vienna (suicide), March 14, 1938), lawyer and financial expert, brother of the conductor Ernst K. (1868-1939). From 1921 currency expert of the Austrian Economy Commission, then legal consultant of Anglobank, Bank President and close adviser of Federal Chancellor I. Seipel. Contributed to the establishment of the Austrian National Bank and had considerable influence on the reforms of Seipel.
