Kummaberg

Kummaberg Mountain, Vorarlberg, alt. 667 m, most striking mountain in the Rhine Valley (in the municipality of Koblach), separates the Vorarlberg Unterland ("lower") region from the Oberland ("upper") region; numerous traces of prehistoric settlement (finds displayed in the provincial museum of Vorarlberg in Bregenz). There is evidence of a settlement on the Krinnenbalme and Rheinbalme rock overhangs since the Middle Stone Age. Neuburg castle ruins (first documented mention in 1152/1166).
