Took over the brewery belonging to his uncle, Jakob K. in the Ottakring district of Vienna, devoted himself esp. to alpinism and astronomy, commissioned the K. Observatory on his own property. Numerous essays in the publications of the Austrian Alpine Society (Alpenverein). Emigrated to Zurich in 1938. Literature: ÖBL.
