Kraus, GüntherKraus, Günther, b. Mährisch-Ostrau (Ostrava, Czech Republic), July 13, 1914, d. Vienna, April 22, 1998, electrical engineer. Studied mechanical and electrical engineering at Vienna University of Technology in 1932-38, where he habilitated in 1950 in the field of light-current engineering. Worked for private companies in Austria and Germany until 1957, Professor and Head of the Institute of Low Frequency Engineering at Vienna University of Technology from 1957 to 1979.
