Kozeluch, Leopold Anton, b. Velvary, Czech Republic (then Welwarn), June 26, 1747, d. Vienna, May 7, 1818. Composer, pianist, music teacher and publisher, cousin of Johann Anton K. (1738-1814); from 1778 in Vienna, court composer awarded the titles of Kammerkomponist* und Hofkompositeur. His work is a mixture of galant (vocal compositions) and Viennese Classical style (symphonies, piano concertos).


Works: Lieder, cantatas, church music, symphonies, ballet music, chamber and piano music.
