Brno, Czech Republic (then Brünn), March 12, 1886, d. Vienna, Dec. 15, 1965. Actress, trained by A. Strakosch, whom she later married; debut under M. Reinhardt (producer) at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, from 1911 engagements also at the Berlin Kammerspiele, later at the Theater in der Josefstadt and at the Volkstheater in Vienna. 1936 emigrated to the USA, where she worked first in a factory, then in films. After World War II appearances at the "Players from Abroad"; 1948 returned to Vienna, guest performances in Germany, film parts.
