Komödianten, DieKomödianten, Die, Vienna theatre company, founded around 1958 by Conny Hannes Meyer. From 1963 their theatre was at the Börseplatz in Vienna, from 1974 in the Theater im Künstlerhaus (1st district); dissolved in 1983. Focused on anti-fascist drama, plays by B. Brecht dominated its programme. Was the predecessor of the ensemble "Gruppe 80". Literature: W. Schlögl, C. H. Meyer und seine Komödianten, doctoral thesis, Wien 1994.
