Kleiner, SalomonKleiner, Salomon, b. Augsburg (Germany), March 4, 1700, d. Vienna, March 25, 1761, painter of vedute, copper engraver. From 1721 worked in Vienna, made drawings of towns, which were engraved on copper and published in Augsburg (J. A. Pfeffel) from 1724/25. Some series were dedicated to Belvedere Castle (from 1729, series of engravings completed in 1740) and the Vienna Court Library (from 1730).
