Kematen an der Krems

Kematen an der Krems, Upper Austria, municipality in the district of Linz Land, alt. 327 m, pop.1,883, area 21.40 km², situated in the Kremstal Valley, near the town of Linz, Steyr and Wels. - Kematen manufactures doors, has a golf course, restaurants and guest houses and a garage. - Gothic 15^th  century staggered church with aisles and nave of different height (documented mention in 1179) and fortified tower, fine Baroque interior with works by J. G. Schwanthaler; Weyer Castle (documented mention in 1299), moated castle (16^th century), enlarged in the 19^th  century.
