Kaunitz, Dominik Andreas, Count, b. 1655, d. Vienna, Jan. 11, 1705, statesman. Envoy to Munich and the Hague, representative of the Emperor at the peace negotiations in Rijswijk, 1696 imperial vice-chancellor. In 1703 organised a new government team around Joseph I.
