Vienna, Nov. 16, 1921, portrait painter and genre painter, originally employed as a bank clerk. Attended the national school of drawing and design in Budapest and studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts; journeys to Hungary, Galicia and Poland; created genre paintings devoted to social subjects and scenes of Jewish everyday life.
