Belgrade (Yugoslavia), Dec. 25, 1683, Ottoman grand vizier from 1676-1683, who led the campaign against Austria in 1683 (Turkish Wars) and the second siege of Vienna (Turkish Sieges of Vienna). was executed because of his defeat.
