Kammerer, MarcelKammerer, Marcel, b. Vienna, Nov. 4, 1878, d. Quebec (Canada), Dec. 25, 1969, architect and painter. 1898-1902 studied with O. Wagner, subsequently worked for and assisted Wagner in his studio. 1909-1918 joint office with E. Hoppe and O. Schönthal, withdrew from the business in 1918 and became a renowned painter, especially during the National Socialist era (exhibitions in the Haus der Deutschen Kunst in Munich etc.). Emigrated to Canada after World War II. Works: enlargement of the Grand Hotel Wiesler, Graz, 1905-1908. - With E. Hoppe and O. Schönthal: shop Bakalowits' Söhne, 1910/1911; "Westermannhäuser", 1912-1914; central bank of the Deutsche Sparkassen, 1912-1916 (all in 1st district of Vienna). Literature: O. A.
