KagranKagran, part of Vienna´s 22nd district, in the Marchfeld. First documented mention in 1199 as "Chagaran"; became part of the new 21st district in 1904. Parts of Kagran were incorporated into the 22nd district in 1938, and the rest of it in 1954. In the 1960s and 1970s large council estates and the Donauzentrum shopping centre were built in Neukagran on the outskirts of the original centre. Today Kagran forms the most important traffic junction in the Dounaustadt district (U 1 terminus).
