Junk, Viktor, b. Vienna, April 18, 1875, d. Frohnleiten (Styria), April 5, 1948. Germanist, dance theorist and composer, brother of Rudolf Junk. From 1900 in the service of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, co-founder of the Pfitzner and Reger Societies, conducted concerts of the Bach Society. Friendship with M. Reger, H. Pfitzner, H. Wolf and F. Schmidt.
