Juhos, BélaJuhos, Béla, b. Vienna, Nov. 22, 1901, d. Vienna, May 27, 1971, philosopher. Studied under M. Schlick and was awarded his doctorate in 1926, member of the Vienna Circle of neopositivist philosophers, carried on its tradition until his death. Representative of consistent logical empiricism. Dealt above all with the epistemological aspects of the individual sciences, especially of physics. In the light of his hierarchy of empirical sentences he critically examined the work of R.
