Johann von ViktringJohann of Viktring, probably b. in Lorraine, around 1270, d. between July 30, 1345 and Oct. 31, 1347, Cistercian, from 1312 Abbot of Viktring (Carinthia), 1330-1335 curate (secretary) to Duke Henry VI of Carinthia and the Tyrol, 1335-1342 at the Habsburg Court. Dedicated his major work "Liber certarum historiarum", which he started in 1340/41 and finished in 1343 (4 editions, the last one called "Anonymus Leobiensis") to Albrecht II.
