Vienna, Jan. 28, 1994, manual worker and politician (Austrian Socialist Party, SPÖ). 1931 appointed central secretary for Women's Affairs of the Socialist Party, from 1933 youngest member of the Executive Committee of the Party. Between 1934 and 1940 several times in police custody, 1940-1945 concentration camp Ravensbrück. 1959-1967 chairwoman of the Section for Women's Affairs of the SPÖ, chairwoman of the Association of Socialist Fighters for Freedom and Victims of Fascism. 1945-1967 member of the Nationalrat.
