Jellinek, Hermann


Jellinek, Hermann, b. Drslavice, Czech Republic (then Drslawitz), Jan. 22, 1822, d. Vienna (executed), Nov. 23, 1848, writer and officer, brother of Adolf Jellinek. Lived in Vienna from 1847; published the journal "Kritischer Sprechsaal für die Hauptfragen der österreichischen Politik" (1848), wrote numerous editorials for the newspaper "Österreichische Allgemeine Zeitung" and wrote for "Der Radikale" by A. J. Becher. Executed as a revolutionary by order of a court martial in 1848.
