Iro, GerdaIro, Gerda, b. Vienna, Aug. 28, 1906, costume designer. Studied and worked in Berlin (1927) and Paris (1928/29), was assistant of O. Strnad. 1931-1934 worked as a designer for revues and was later responsible for decor and costumes in more than 200 films (worked with many directors including E. Marischka and F. Antel). 1955-1980 also designed costumes for the operettas at the Raimundtheater in Vienna.
