ImbachImbach, Lower Austria, village in the district of Krems, alt. 229 m, located in the Krems Valley northwest of Krems, cadastral district of Senftenberg. - Metal-working industry. - Parish church of the Nativity of the Virgin (built in early Gothic style), originally the church of the former Dominican convent (founded in 1269, dissolved in 1782); oldest preserved 2-nave hall church in Austria (consecrated in 1285); enclosed by a wall dating from the 14th century; Gothic chapel of St. Catharine, rededicated to St. Joseph with sandstone statue of the Virgin Mary (1320-1330), in Baroque setting; chapel of the Holy Sepulchre (18th century); Madonna of the Rosary by M.
