Illner, KarlIllner, Karl, b. Žacléř, Czech Republic (then Schatzlar), July 14, 1877, d. Vienna, Aug. 6, 1935, mechanic and pilot, cooperated with I. Etrich. On August 8, 1909 piloted the first flight of the "Etrich-Taube" and in the following year the first Austrian cross-country flight from Wiener Neustadt to Vienna in 30 minutes. Literature: NDB.
