IBM Österreich Internationale Büromaschinen Ges. m. b. H.IBM Austria Internationale Büromaschinen Ges.m.b.H., Austrian subsidiary of International Business Machines Corporation (IBM); founded in 1928 in Vienna; specializes in computer hardware and software and provides repair and service of IBM equipment. The entire IBM group is supplied with software developed in the IBM Software Development Centre in Vienna. IBM Central Europe & Russia, an independent associate company of IBM with headquarters in Vienna, trades with Russia and other countries in Eastern Europe. In 1994 IBM Austria had 1,500 employees and a turnover of 8.5 billion ATS.
