HöllentalHöllental Gorge, Lower Austria, narrow valley of the River Schwarza between the villages of Singerin (alt. 577 m) and Hirschwang an der Rax (alt. 500 m) in the Lower Austrian limestone Alpine area. To the north the Höllental is delimited by the Schneeberg massif (Klosterwappen, 2,076 m), to the south by the Rax massif (Heukuppe, 2,007 m); it is almost uninhabited. Parallel to the River Schwarza runs the first Vienna Hochquellenleitung water supply lines (Museum of Water Supply). In the south the steep-faced Großes Höllental valley emerges from the Rax massif and runs into the Höllental.
