Hillinger, FranzHillinger, Franz, b. Linz (Upper Austria), Oct. 24, 1921, d. Linz, May 10, 1991, civil servant and politician (Austrian Social Democratic Party, SPÖ). 1954-1984 member of the municipal council in Linz, 1956-1965 city councillor, 1965-1969 deputy mayor, 1969-1984 mayor. H. played a decisive role in the improvement of the municipal infrastructure (e.g. Brucknerhaus 1973).
