Heindl, Wolfgang, b. 1693, d. Wels (Upper Austria), July 28, 1757, baroque painter, decorated many churches in Upper Austria and Lower Bavaria with paintings and frescoes, also scene painter in Kremsmünster. works by H. in the monasteries of Kremsmünster, Lambach and Wilhering as well as in Upper Austrian Provincial Museum.


Works: frescoes: St. Nikola (Passau), 1717/18; Niederaltaich, 1719; Metten, 1722/23; Kremsmünster, 1724; Refectory Lambach, 1740; Pfarrkirchen pilgrimage church near Bad Hall, 1748; parish church at Hofkirchen a. d. Trattnach, 1754. - Oil paintings in Grieskirchen, Elisabethinenkirche Linz, parish church, Wels.
