Heiller, AntonHeiller, Anton, b. Vienna, Sept. 15, 1923, d. Vienna, March 25, 1979, composer and organist. From 1945 professor in Vienna. Composed almost exclusively church and organ music, in which he also included elements of modern music (e.g. twelve-tone music). Awarded the Grand Austrian State Prize in 1969, won many prizes at organ competitions both in Austria and abroad. Works: masses, requiem, psalms, chorale arrangements, organ music, motets, cantatas.
