Hämmerle, F. M., Textilwerke AG, a family-owned textile company with approx. 2,500 employees at 7 sites, until the middle of the 1970s the largest business in Vorarlberg. Changes in the textile sector led to a decline. 1991: turnover 1,500 million ATS, 1,210 employees. In 1992 the company was split into the Spinnerei Feldkirch GmbH and the F. M. Hämmerle Textilwerke AG with a turnover of 800 million ATS and 760 employees in 1993. Has its own world-wide distribution network.
