In 1988 managing director of Siemens AG Austria, in 1989 member of the board and chairman of the board for the product group audio and video technology. Since 1994 spokesman of the board of directors of the Österreichische Elektrizitätswirtschafts AG (Verbundgesellschaft, the federal utilities holding).
